IV Summer School: La Tesis doctoral y la Ciencia abierta: dilemas, trayectorias y toma de decisiones

Committed to open science and to making scientific research and its dissemination more democratic and more linked to the needs of Society, REUNI+D, University Network for Research and Educational Innovation is pleased to announce that the IV Summer School will be held in Valladolid in May 2022, organized by the CEAEX group of the University of Valladolid. This summer school will deal with: Doctoral thesis and Open Science: dilemmas, trajectories and decision-making. It is one more step in the line initiated by the Esbrina group from the University of Barcelona, ​​which in 2015 took charge of the I Annual Summer Workshop, Alternative Methods in Social Research. In 2016 it was the turn of the ELKARRIKERTUZ research group of the University of the Basque Country. In this case the focus was Alternative Methods in Social Research: Visual Methods. In 2017, the third Summer Workshop was entitled 3rd International Summer Workshop on Alternative Methods in Social Research”: Transformative and Inclusive Social and Educational Research and was organized by the PROCIE research group of the University of Malaga.

He has teaching and professional experience in public spheres and social organizations in matters of educational organizations and education and work.

Professor and researcher of the sociology of education, his areas of academic development focus on the sociology of education and knowledge, as well as the sociology of organizations in the field of symbolic control, youth and adult education, and the study of the relationship between education and work. He has work headquarters at the National University of General Sarmiento, at the National University of Luján and recently at the National Pedagogical University of Argentina. He works as a postgraduate professor at Argentine universities and other countries. He is the author of books, book chapters, and articles in academic journals.

Call for papers

The communications space is understood from a collaborative perspective of knowledge construction. For that reason it is organized for dialogue, questions and the joint search for answers.

The works that are sent will be related to the process of preparing and directing doctoral theses to respond to all or some of the following axes from the perspective of doctoral students and/or thesis supervisors:

  1. Problems encountered during the process of preparing and directing the doctoral thesis: ethical, methodological, theoretical, social repercussion, etc.
  2. Reflections on the process: what would you say to someone who is just starting out? What have I learned during this time?
  3. Relations of my research with the framework of open science

How to submit you paper

The work will be a summary (maximum 1,000 words) where the following points are included: title, author, university, doctoral program, thematic axis to which it responds.
