Abstract:
This research project aims to analyze the current state of the production, distribution and educational use in the classroom of educational digital content online or instructional materials for primary education in a sample of three regions of Spain: Canary Islands, Galicia and Valencia. The aim is to explore what is digitally educational materials offered in the Spanish context for Primary Education; What educational model behind them;? What differences exist between commercial and institutional platforms; What vision do the different educational and social stakeholders; How they are used and what impact they have on teaching and learning in the classroom; What recommendations can be made to the various actors and sectors involved in producing and using educational resources and school quality content distributed online.
More specifically the objectives of this research project are: 1. Analyze the pedagogical and technological characteristics of platforms and portals of digital content for primary education in Spain, both commercially produced by publishers as institutional nature generated by the regional administrations. 2. Identify the views and opinions, on the transit of textbooks to educational digital content, the various sectors involved: teachers, students, families and publishing companies. 3. Explore the educational use of the materials or digital content in the classroom and its impact on teaching and student learning, in a sample of schools in the autonomous communities of the Canary Islands, Galicia and Valencia. 4. Develop and validate a guide of proposals and recommendations for good practice on the production, distribution and use of digital educational materials aimed at professionals and companies, public education authorities, teachers and families derived from the results research.
