II. International Summer Workshop on Alternative Research Methods in Social Research : VISUAL METHODS

As Marcus Banks (2010) says, if we speak strictly about this topic, there are few innovative visual methods or particularly distinctive methods of collecting data, so,  that it may be more accurate to talk of adding a visual dimension to conventional methods of data collection that are already available. The seminar we organize expects therefore to know first what is being done in research using visual methods and deepen existing studies based on these processes and outcomes.

The ELKARRIKERTUZ research group of the University of the Basque Country at the Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Anthropology in San Sebastián is pleased to announce the schedule for the second annual summer workshop, a three days course open to graduate students in the Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (with preference given to Ph.D. students). The first workshop on alternative methods in social research was organized last summer by  the research group Esbrina in Barcelona.
